ABIA ONLINE MEDIA PRACTITIONERS SET TO HOLD AGM/BLOGGERS’ WEEK.

Online media practitioners on the aegis of Abia Online Media Practitioners are organising a four day program for members and critical stakeholders.

The event scheduled to come up during the association’s Annual General meeting is slated for the 16th to 19th of November, 2021.

The theme of the bloggers’ week is “Impact of Social Media on Governance” – The Abia Perspective.

The programmes lined up for the week-long activities include training, tour of Abia governor’s projects, media interaction with the governor, etc.

In a press statement signed by the Chairman and secretary of the association, Comrade Ugochukwu Nwankwo and Izuchukwu Nwokoma, respectively, the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu will be the Special Guest of Honour while Chief Sir. Uzo Ihuka will be the Chairman of the occasion.

While 16 November, the first day of the program will be for arrival and registration of local and visiting bloggers/training at Evergreen Hotels in Umuahia by Innocent Paschal (Ph.D) department of Mass Communication, ABSU, the 17th to 18th will involve a tour of the Governor’s Projects in the state. Also, the media interaction with the governor will be on the 18th.

The peak of the program which is the Annual General Meeting takes place on Friday November 19th, 2021 at Micheal Okpara Auditorium by noon prompt.

The statement further enjoins people in the media and lovers of the media to participate in the 2021AGM of OMPAN.
