Aba Ahia Udele Accident: Anyaso Visits Scene, Calls for Proper Check on Road Worthiness, Commiserates With Families of Victims

The Founder, Chima Anyaso Foundation (Ofuji Movement) & The President General of UMU-ABA CONNECT ASSOCIATION, Dr Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, has sympathized with the families of the victims of the fatal accident that occurred at Ahia Udele in Aba. The businessman and politician has lauded the Governor of Abia State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for embarking on rescue efforts after the unfortunate incident.

Anyaso who stated this on Sunday morning while inspecting the scene of the incident, commended the governor particularly for deploying men on ground to assist the Police in dowsing tension among other things, maintaining that it is not a time to apportion blame or embark on mindless destruction of property by angry mob.

He called on the State Government and agencies involved in checking vehicles to ensure they are thorough, noting that it is matter of life and death and therefore should be done with the utmost sense of responsibility. According to him, this is to ensure that vehicles such as the trailer that caused the mishap are checked properly, stressing that such vehicles should be impounded when declared unfit to ply the roads.

Anyaso said this has become imperative to check the increasing number of road accidents, expressing optimism that those in-charge of traffic must have learnt one or two lessons in order to avert this kind of unfortunate incident in future.

He commiserated with the families of the diseased, praying that God will comfort them especially in their moments of grief while stating his readiness to assist them through his Chima Anyaso Foundation as the Abia State Government and Eziama Divisional Police Officer will guide them accordingly.
