POMP, PAGEANTRY AS ROCK KIDS ACADEMY HOLDS MAIDEN GRADUATION/PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY

It was indeed an even full splendour where the management of Rock Kids Academy, Umuahia celebrated its first graduation ceremony and prize giving to pupils.

The ceremony which took place on the 30th July, 2022 at the school premises in Umuobasi was well attended by parents/guardians as well as guests.

The atmosphere was indeed convivial even with the initial showers of rain upon commencement of the programme.

The pupils and of course the graduates wowed all with their superlative and perfect activities.

The 2022 5th grade valedictorian, Munachimso Valerie Ugele perfectly delivered her speech to the admiration of all present. She in the speech appreciated her teachers, the school and of course her parents for the impacts made in her life thus far.

She also enjoined other pupils in the lower classes to keep the school’s flag flying while she would be gone.

Earlier, the KG3 valedictorian, Ugele Yagazie Humble -Jonah recalled how they came to the school as toddlers but have attained a height where they could read and write because of the efforts by their teachers.

The chairman of the occasion, Mr. Chidi Otuonye was full of praises for the management for maintaining a high standard of learning.

He said he was impressed to learn from the vision bearer – Mrs. Chinwe Ugele of what her expectations are and concluded that he was satisfied with the results he has seen so far.

Also, Mr. Derek Ugele thanked parents who entrusted their kids in the care of the school and noted that though the school was young, it has made impacts.

Some parents also took turns to testify about the school giving the performance of their children from when they joined.

Also in attendance were Rev. Father Alex Mario Okonta, the Lumen newspaper Editor, Mr. Chris Owui, the Station manager Love FM radio station among other dignitaries.

Highlights of the occasion are songs rendition in Igbo, English and French languages, recitations in English and French, dance and finally the presentation of graduation awards on the graduates of KG3 and 5th grade and merit awards on the pupils from the pre – nursery to the primary classes.
