Abia OMPAN AGM: T.A. Orji bags two awards

The senator representing Abia Central senatorial zone, Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji was the highest award recipient at the Abia OMPAN AGM .
The former two term governor clinched a Lifetime Achievement award in recognition of his successful political journey and Best lawmaker award for his outstanding legislative activities for nearly eight years he has been in office.
Even as a legislator, he has painstakingly nurtured his structure and has been exceptional in his legislative duties.
His active and impactful representation in the senate earned him the Lawmaker award while his travails and trajectory in the political space in Abia state in particular and nation in general got him the Lifetime Achievement award.
Senator Theodore Orji congratulated the leadership and members of Abia OMPAN for their commitment in information dissemination through various online Media platforms.
The senator who was represented at the occasion by Sir Frank Ibe noted that the awards were merited as they were testimony to the work the senator has been doing over the years.
He thanked the body for honouring him and assured not to relent in his effort to serve diligently.
Chief Paddy Anyatonwu, the chairman of Abia OMPAN, while welcoming the guests said the association has a tradition of honouring qualified citizens and residents of the state during its AGM as a way of encouraging commitment and service to humanity.
He emphasized that the primary function of the media is to serve as a watchdog of the society by informing and educating the public.
He also congratulated the award recipients for being found worthy to be honoured.
For his part, the chairman of the occasion, Mr. Chinenye Nwaogu applauded the state Bloggers for the role they play in the society.
The presence of the Umu- Ochendo forum for Ikuku was equally felt at the event.
