Tragedy: Abia govt loses cabinet member

Abia state government has announced the passing of one of its cabinet members, Commissioner For Labour and Productivity Sunny Nwanganga Onwuma.
A press statement signed and issued by the commissioner for information, Okey Kanu revealed that Onwuma died on Monday after a brief illness.
Comrade Onwuma, a native of Ihie in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of Abia State, was an alumnus of Government College Umuahia, Abia State University, Uturu as well as a dedicated member of the Labour Party and a respected leader within his community.
He is survived by his beloved wife and four children and was 61 years old.
Consequently, the Abia state government has extended its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the people of Abia state.
The statement further prayed to God for his eternal rest and for the family’s strength to bear the irreparable loss.
According to Prince Okey Kanu, burial arrangements would be announced by the family in due course.

Abia State Commissioner For Labour and Productivity Sunny Nwaganga Onwuma Is Dead
With heavy hearts but in total submission to the will of God, the Abia State Government announces the passing of Comrade Sunny Nwanganga Onwuma, a distinguished member of the Abia State Executive Council and Honourable Commissioner for Labour and Productivity.
Comrade Onwuma departed this life in the early hours of Monday, March 3 2025, after a brief illness.
Hailing from Ihie in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of Abia State, Comrade Onwuma was an alumnus of Government College Umuahia and Abia State University, Uturu. He was a dedicated member of the Labour Party and a respected leader within his community.
He is survived by his beloved wife and four children.
Comrade Onwuma was 61 years old.
The Abia State Government extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the people of Abia State.
We fervently pray that God Almighty grants his soul eternal rest and gives his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
Burial arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
