By Editor Umuahia
Former President Good luck Jonathan has been described as a man of peace who used his good nature to move the country away from crises during his terms in office.
Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu, Prof Gregory Ibe described former President of Nigeria Dr Goodluck Jonathan as a great vessel of peace that God used to ferry the nation across trouble waters.
He said the ex president has attained uncommon grace at age 64 and congratulated him on his new age.
According to Prof Ibe, “Posterity will definitely be kind to our former president Dr Jonathan for allowing himself to used by God as a vessel of peace to ferry our country across trouble waters at two historic challenging periods in the life of the nation. First being when we lost a sitting president to illhealth in 2009. It took the peaceful disposition of Dr Jonathan who as Vice President provided inspiring leadership and united the nation, calming frail nerves in the process”.
“The former president also rose to save the nation’s nascent democracy when in 2015 he chose to play politics of peace and accommodation, which led to his famous quote, “My political ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian”, he said.
Prof Ibe prayed God to grant the former president longevity in soundness of health and enjoined Nigerian politicians to emulate his peaceful disposition.
