2023: ONLY YOUR PVC WILL GUARANTEE VOTING YOUR CHOICE CANDIDATES – OMPAN TELLS ABIA CITIZENS

Abia Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN) has called on Abia indigenes and residents to ensure they obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card(PVC) to enable them elect credible candidates in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

The Association through its chairman, Paddy Anyatonwu said voting for credible candidates would ensure the dreams and aspirations of citizens are attained, but made it clear that the process can only be actualised by those with PVC.

In a press statement jointly signed by the chairman and the secretary and issued by the Association, Sunday, the former hinted that it was necessary for all Abian citizens, who had shown voter apathy in the past, to take advantage of the forthcoming general elections to vote for credible leaders to change the narratives.

He informed them that they could not sit on the fence and expect the needed change.

According to the statement, “Everyone who is 18 and above should get their PVCs because it is very important in shaping our future and those of our children.

“The forthcoming elections give us the right to exercise our powers as citizens.”

The Association while urging the people to get registered, assured them that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had improved the electoral process while rigging and other malpractice have been reduced.
