May 29: Abia bloggers set to tour the state to assess government’s projects

Bloggers under the aegis of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria(OMPAN) Abia state have scheduled May 23rd and 24th for project touring of the current administration, ahead of the One Year in Office of governor Alex Otti.

In a Statement jointly endorsed by the State Chairman of OMPAN, Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro and the event committee chairman comrade Ugochukwu Nwankwo, the bloggers resolved to take a tour of these projects with a view to have first hand knowledge of them, criticise them and publish finding of the current administration since assumption of office on May 29th 2023.

According to the Statement, all the registered members of OMPAN will embark on the tour on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th May 2024 while Saturday 25th May 2024 will be for a LIVE interactive session between the governor, Dr Alex Otti and the bloggers at the Umuahia North Local Government Area multi purpose hall Umuahia.

OMPAN had in the past embarked on such assignment in the previous administration as a way of giving an eye witness account of government’s projects to the public.

The statement further reads, “All the bloggers will be coming for this tour to X-ray the one year in office of Governor Alex Otti.”
