Abia SNB 2nd annual conference: Chapter holds induction, rolls out activities for 2- days programme in Umuahia

All is now set for the second annual induction/conference of the Abia State chapter of the Society of Nigerian broadcasters in Umuahia, the state capital.

The two day programme scheduled for Tuesday November 11 and Wednesday, November 12, 2025, will take place in two different venues.

While the registration and pre conference holds at the women development centre, Ministry of women affairs on day 1, the 2nd day follows at the Bishop Nwedo pastoral centre (BANPAC), Umuahia for the induction of new members.

Veterans and seasoned broadcasters have been lined up to speak on different contemporary broadcast and journalism topics for the 2 day event.

The wife of the governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti will be the special guest of honour even as the state’s commissioner for information, Prince Okey kanu is expected to also deliver a speech on the day 2.

The chairman of the state chapter, Children Agbakuru says the programme promises to be beneficial for all broadcasters who will participate as the lectures will focus on basic fabrics of broadcasting, saying “this is our conference, our induction.”

To this end, the planning committee headed by Sir Chimdi Oluoha has worked tirelessly to ensure that the programme is worth the while.
